FABBRICA CORSA · CREATION WORKSHOP IN CORTE

Memory takes form.

In Corte, Fabbrica Corsa transforms subjects related to the island into contemporary creations. Ribellu, Paoli — U Babbu di a Patria, Battaglia, U Segnu di Salomone, the Corsican crib, and the E Breve jewelry reveal several paths of this work: giving presence to memory, transmitting a practice, or composing a miniature universe.

Projects that give form to Corsican identity

Figures that provoke thought

Ribellu and the bust of Pasquale Paoli give a contemporary sculptural expression to identity and memorial references.

Universes to compose

The crib combines characters and decorations; Battaglia brings together the board and figurines around a strategy game.

Signs to wear

E Breve jewelry offers a different way of creating, through compositions of symbols, medals, and beads.

Six projects to discover Fabbrica Corsa

This selection highlights representative projects of the workshop's diversity. An expressive figure, a numbered collectible, a strategy game, a crib, and a piece of jewelry do not tell the story of Corsica in the same way. Their common point: a contemporary creation designed around insular references, with a form and use specific to each project.

Ribellu Bust, 3D creation Fabbrica Corsa

Ribellu — One figure, multiple expressions

From the bust to stylized interpretations, Ribellu traverses several collections of the workshop. The project explores the strength of a silhouette and how a character becomes a contemporary decorative presence.

U Segnu di Salomone — Replay, pass on

This two-player strategy game is updated by Corsu di Sanna® and made in Corte by Fabbrica Corsa. A 3D printed board and ten marbles provide a contemporary support for a practice presented by the workshop as an ancient Corsican game. Alignments, anticipation, and reflection remain at the heart of the game.

The Corsican Nativity Scene — A World to Compose

Santons, animals, scenes and decorations form an overall project that is built piece by piece. The chapel and village elements provide a setting for the characters: the interest lies in each creation as well as in the scenes it allows to compose.

Corsican crèche Fabbrica Corsa with nativity figurines and village scenes

Creating in Corte, from the character to the game

These projects show how Fabbrica Corsa adapts its language to the subject. Ribellu emphasizes the expression of a figure; the bust U Babbu di a Patria gives a sculptural presence to Pasquale Paoli; Battaglia articulates figurines and game rules. 3D printing is involved in the manufacture of these objects, with materials and formats specific to each model.

The Corsican crib develops another logic: that of an open set, where characters, animals, and miniature architectures can respond to each other. The E Breve jewelry shifts the compositional work towards wearable signs. This diversity forms the common thread of the workshop: the same attention to Corsican identity, expressed through distinct projects.

Keeping the tradition alive, without folklore

With U Segnu di Salomone, Fabbrica Corsa expresses its attachment to culture and tradition through an object that is used and shared. Reviving certain ancient Corsican games is a way to discover them, understand the rules, and play them today. The contemporary board serves this transmission: tradition continues through practice, reflection, and interaction between players.

This approach supports Corsican creation rooted in its culture, attentive to its references and open to current techniques. It avoids artificial folklore by giving a concrete place to uses and transmitted knowledge. U Segnu di Salomone revisits a traditional game; Battaglia develops an original game inspired by Corsican history. These two projects follow distinct paths to make culture an experience to share.
